SPARSH-Make
a Difference
Recognition and Reverence to BBMP workers
The world portrays an assortment of days like
Mother’s, Father’s, Teachers, Valentine’s etc, however there has been no
consideration towards the people who have made a real DIFFERENCE in our life
though they may not fall into any of the above widely celebrated days.
The Department
of MBA, Cambridge Institute of Technology, K R Puram, Bangalore has
conceived “SPARSH-Make A Difference”
which has significance of expressing gratitude and love towards BBMP workers
who help in keeping our society clean and tidy.
This unique event was conducted on 13th August, 2013 at 6.30 am in K R Puram
area, with the support of Shri. D. K. Mohan, Chairman, Cambridge Group of Institutions; Dr. B.V. Ravishankar, Principal; Dr. R. Krishna,
Director, P. G. Studies; Prof. S. Gopalkrishna, Head of the Department, MBA; Dr.
G. Ananthapadmanabhan, Professor,
MBA with fifteen Faculty
members and more than hundred MBA Students expressed gratitude by offering
gifts to BBMP workers.
Our Indian culture promotes the philosophy of ‘Krutagnyata’
or gratitude. It is an irony, that we do not have any day which symbolizes our
culture. Hence, this day will be henceforth celebrated in the Cambridge
Institute of Technology as a “Reverence day”. Prof Deepti Shetty and Prof
Vijaykumar Dhannur Coordinated this program successfully.
