25/09/2012 - Mr.Omprakash, Regional manager, ICICI Direct addressed MBA III semester students and explained about Investment avenues, E-trading in stock market, and different challenges they face while trading on the net. He later launched national level competition 'Stockmind - The quest for the best budding investor'. He encouraged and motivated students to enroll in their portal and start trading in a simulation environment with virtual money.

8/9/2012 Dr.Shyam Lal Dev Pandey a representative of SEBI, conducted a Securities Market Awareness Campaign and workshop on "Empowering Investors Through Education" on 08/09/2012 to all the MBA students.

           He started the session with the need for financial education, he explained about financial planning, spoke about SMART goals,clarified the Risk v/s return concept, worked out the the power of compounding.  He explained the effects of Inflation on investments, and loans v/s Investments. He spoke and created awareness about Savings and Investment related products, Protection related products, Borrowing related products. He created awareness on various basic interview questions asked in the placement activity and asked students to get prepared to answer the same. He concluded the session with stressing the importance of financial education to the management students. This session will be followed with the presentation of students on 18/09/2012.
