MBA II semester students had an opportunity to visit Karnataka Soaps & Detergents Limited Factory on Dr.Rajkumar Road, Bangalore on 21/05/2013. The students were welcomed with good reception by PRO at the entrance of the factory, later they were taken to a seminar hall and a short movie on the history and products of the company were screened followed by question and answer session. Later the students were taken around the factory to see the manufacturing process. The visit helped students to understand the various management activities that practically happen in a organization. The visit was very informative and useful to the students. Prof Sunil M Kulkarni and Prof. Johnpradeep Kumar accompanied the students.

Activity on Quantitative Methods
Objective
of the (Questioning and Answering) Activity:
The activity gives a chance to the students to know different
questions arising from different modules. And how the students should be
prepared to answer for the questions asked by opposition group.
Activity Agenda:
1.
All
the students of 2012-2014 Batch had given opportunity to participate in this
activity.
2.
The
students have divided in groups – 10 student each
3.
It is
asked the students to prepare 10 questions from the modules given to them and
on the day of activity the student should ask the opposite group and restrict
the other groups to answer by asking hypothetical questions from the subject.

Activity on team building for MBA II Semester students
Prof.Muralidhar Reddy, has organized a activity on team building and coordination to MBA II semester students on 03-05-2013. The students were divided into 10 batches and they were given 25 straws per each batch, cello tape and scissors. They were asked to build a model in 30 minutes time, later they were asked to explain how they could do this. Through this activity the students were allowed to think differently, plan, coordinate, communicate, use resources optimally etc,. This gave students a practical exposure to working and learning in team.
Activity on Compensation Management by MBA IV Semester HR students
On 03-05-2013, MBA IV semester HR specialization students under the guidance of were given a task of preparing a compensation plan for various types of employees who will be joining the organization. They were given with the ACTC (Annual Cost To Company) and were asked to give a break up of the same for each month, this information was presented by students in the class on MS EXCEL.
