Childrens Day celebration on 14-11-2014

The teachers celebrated Children's day by wishing and blessing all the students of MBA. The teacher's recollected their child hood days and shared lighter moments with students. The students were very happy to receive such a appreciation from teachers. The session ended with refreshments and students proceeded to the Industrial visit to VST Tractors & Tillers.

Validictory programme of Certification Course on 12-11-2014



Department conducted a valedictory session and distributed certificates to MBA III semester students who have successfully completed certification course in the following areas.
MBA Finance      - Financial Intermediaries
MBA Marketing  - Digital Marketing
MBA HR             - Statutory Compliance and Labour laws.
Mr. Adnan, Digital Marketing consultant was the chief guest for the occasion,  our beloved Chairman, Mr. D.K Mohan, Principal Dr. L. Suresh blessed the occasion.

MBA students win trophy in Paper presenation competion.

MBA students, Ms. Anu Franklin, Ms. Harsha priya and Mr. Rohit Papanna presented a research paper on in current Hr trends  at a National conference, organized by MS Ramaiah College, Bangalore on 15-11-2014, and they won a runner up trophy. Overall 45 participants from all over the country participated in the conference. Our Beloved Chairman and Principal congratulated the students for their achievement.

MBA Students from KERALA- God's own country brightened the campus on ONAM day by putting 'POOKALAM' in the entrance of both Sir MV Block and DK Mohan block. The celebration became a sweet affair by afternoon as we all relished the sweetness of Payasam made by the boys specially to mark the occasion.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO VST TRACTORS & TILLERS ON 14-11-2014 BY MBA STUDENTS


The students of MBA had an opportunity to  visit to a prestigious company VST Tractors & Tillers  Ltd, Bangalore on , September, 2013.
  
The manufacturing plant is located in Whitefield Industrial area near Bangalore. It has 75,00 Sq. mtrs. of land and a built up area of 15,000 Sq. mtrs (approx). The Manufacturing capacity of the company, presently is 25,000 Power Tillers, 32,000 Engines and 5000 Tractors. This capacity can be enhanced upto 30% within a period of 6 to 8 months. This plant mainly deals in manufacturing of Tractors and Farm Equipments.The plant is one of the oldest manufacturing plants in the production of tractors in India. Being briefed through the introduction of VST plant, we were about to explore the India’s most Prestigious Company.The students were divided into group of 15 people so as to have individual attention. Students visited 3 units of the plant right from examination of engine parts, assembling of engine and main manufacturing of tractors.


     The students were explained about How the assembly line manufacturing process works. This section of the plant deals with the installation of the main engine of the tractor. The students are taken through a complete channel of stations on the assembly station and the supervisor explaining each of the complicated process. The units where tractors are manufactured in assembly lines follow Total Quality Management (TQM) and Total Productivity Management (TPM). Every sub-unit contributes to the production. They avoid material handling losses with pulleys and fork-lifts. All these techniques add value to the production. Indeed there is no surprise they improve their quality and reduce time with ever unit of production of tractor. Later we were taken to the canteen for a cup of tea as a relaxation. We left the place thanking the DGM-HR, Mr.Kodandaram after the tea

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO TOTOTA KIRLOSKAR MOTORS BY MBA STUDENTS ON 09-09-2014







Toyota Kirlosker Motors a vibrant company in India, has started its operations here in Bidadi in the year 1997 in sprawling area of 432 acres, it employees around 8,000 people. Toyota Kirloskar motors is a leader in the automotive sector, their major challenge is to innovate continuously, keeping in mind the changing needs of customers, stakeholders and society at large. In order to counter these challenges, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) follows the best practices as guided by the Toyota Way.
Toyota is operational in 26 countries with 51 manufacturing units, they follow Toyota way in all their plants, which consist of Challenge, kizen, Genchi Genbutsu (go and study), perspect, and team work. The cars are manufactured in 4 stages here, press, weld, paint shop and assembly shop. The company follows all the safety standards and maintains zero accidents, they do lot of CSR activities like awareness on safety, rain water harvesting, tree plantation, technical training, greenathon etc.

Management Department of Cambridge Institute of Technology, has organized a visit to Toyota Kirloskar motors for their MBA III Semester students on September 09, 2014, they reached the plant at around 2.00 PM, and were received by Mr.Harish, and were taken to Toyota Hall, where a corporate video clip was screened followed by visit to the manufacturing plant, with all the safety precautions. The students were delighted after their visit to the plant; they were exposed to the state of the art technology and management. The visit was concluded at 5.00 P.M, with a farewell. Faculties of management Mr. Muralidhar Reddy, and Mr. Sunil M Kulkarni accompanied the students.

Certification course in HR, Marketing and Finance.

MBA III semester students are undergoing the following certification programmes from September -2014 - November 2014.

MBA Finance      - Financial Intermediaries

MBA Marketing  - Digital Marketing

MBA HR             - Statutory Compliance and Labour laws.

Certification programme is a 15 hour programme with guest lectures from Industry experts, and hands on experience on various components. The evaluation process involves a test at the end of the course and Interview, successful candidates are awarded with a Certificate by the external agency.
 The exam will be held on  10-11-2014 for all the certification programmes.

Career Orientation programme by WIPRO on 26-09-2014


A career orientation programme was organized by WIPRO India Limited to our MBA III Semester students on 26-09-2014.

Mr. Mohan Kumar from WIPRO and Mrs. Rajeswari, made the day very fruitful and productive to our students. 
Mr. Mohan Kumar started the session with introduction about the WIPRO, it's subsidiaries, Organization structure, turnover etc., this session was attended by all the MBA students.  The session after a short break was very interesting as Mr. Mohan kumar spoke about the importance of digital marketing, HR functions and Financial roles of the people. 

The sessions were planned very clearly with an activity on the topic and team building exercises. Mrs. Rajeswari spoke on the importance of Behavioral psychology for the students while taking up Interviews. All the discussions were associated with enacting the scenarios by the students.

The Post lunch session was focused on mock Group discussions and Personal interviews for the students of all the specializations. The sessions were very much enjoyed by the students as they have put a bridge to their future.

SAP training inaugaration on 18-09-2014


The department of MBA is very happy to announce that the MBA students will be SAP savys by the time they have MBA degree with them.SAP Tree Consulting, Bangalore will train the students in SAP- FICO, SAP -SD & SAP- HCM as per the student's specialization in their MBA. MR. Pavan, CEO, SAP Tree inaugurated the training programme along with our beloved chairman Mr.D.K. Mohan, dynamic principal Dr. L.Suresh and HOD- MBA Dr. Rajashekhara Swamy. 

The training programme will last for 80 sessions or 120 hours hands on experience training with online connectivity to their servers. The students will be evaluated at the end of the training sessions and a certificate will be issued to them.

WORK SHOP ON NLP - 11-09-2014


Mr. Prajwal, a corporate trainer and consultant, conducted a day long workshop on "Neuro linguistic Programme" to the students of MBA on 18-09-2014.

The programme started with a small energizer and ice braking session. Mr. Prajwal in his work shop emphasized on the NLP concepts, conscious and sub conscious mind and their importance, positive thinking, meditation areas. The sessions were very well planned and successfully handled. The students were very enthusiastic throughout the work shop as it had so many ice breaking sessions and games. The work shop was very effective and useful to all the students.

Prof. Rajashekhara Swamy was instrumental in organizing this successful workshop.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION ON 05-09-2014


Enthusiastic and energetic students of MBA have celebrated Teacher's day with great fan fare. The students welcomed all the MBA teacher's into the seminar hall, they were greeted with welcome drinks and flowers, followed by a talk from all the faculties. The students facilitated the faculties and gave some memorabilia. The programme concluded with high tea.

Know your class mates

The students were given 20 minutes time to interact as many as people in their class and know the basic details of them like their Name, Degree, Place of Birth etc., Later few students were called onto the stage randomly and they were asked to tell the details of all the class mates, 6 students could tell the details of all their class mates in a moment.

This activity provided an opportunity for the students to know better about their classmates. This event was coordinated by Prof. Muralidhar Reddy on 29-01-2014. The activity was conducted in Section A of MBA IV Semester.

Best employer in India and World

MBA IV semester HR students presented the 10 best  employers in India and World. The students prepared a datasheet with the details of companies and why they were rated as best employer. The students collected the data form Forbes, Business Standard, Rediff, Economic Times etc., and presented the parameters considered for the ratings, the process, and the final outcome. This activity provided the students with various aspects of employee branding.

Google was the best employer in India and Globe as per the various surveys

Know your friends Activity for MBA IV Semester students


The students of the Section B of MBA IV semester were asked to write the characteristics of their best friend in the class in a chit of paper, they were asked to not disclose their identity in the paper, later the chits were collected and were presented to the class and the students were to guess who this friend is based on the characteristics written in the paper. 30 students were able to identify the names correctly out of 52 people in the class. This activity provided an opportunity for the students to express their concern and affection towards their friends.

This activity was conducted by Prof. Y. Muralidhar Reddy on 17-01-2014.

Training & Development through 3 idiots movie by Prof Sunil M Kulkarni.  3.00 pm – 3.45 pm

                Prof. Sunil M Kulkarni presented the compared 2 different types of teachers who train students in different ways. The inspiration for this session was 3 Idiots move, he compared the working style of principal in the movie, who is very systematic and most disciplined and can’t tolerate any deviation from academics to the Ameer khan who encourages the students to love their passion and be independent. The second teacher is most admiring and lovable.

Business Plan for the real world by Prof Gnanendra M 3.45 pm – 4.15 pm.

Prof Gnanendra started the session with a beautiful video about creativity and innovation and infused few thoughts in the minds of participants. He spoke about importance of business plan for the entrepreneurs to attract the investors and run the business in a profitable way. He discussed the following topics

Emotional Intelligence to teachers by Mr. Y. Muralidhar Reddy. 12- 1.30 pm

Prof Muralidhar Reddy spoke about the importance of emotions and emotional intelligence for teachers for effective class room management. Top 10 qualities of a good teacher by Mr. Sheshu A 3.00 pm – 3.43. pm

Mr Sheshu spoke about the important role the teacher plays in a student life, he emphasised on the knowledge of the teacher and passion to teach, which are most critical for teacher. He stressed upon the importance of good rapport with students and discipline also matters a lot.

Mr. John Pradeep Kumar spoke about the importance of investment for employees, he emphasised the importance of investment and financial planning. He through the light on safe and secure investment options with good returns.
