INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO NEW DELHI, AGRA AND SHIMLA BY MBA IV SEMESTER STUDENTS

       MBA IV Semester students went on a industrial trip to New Delhi, Agra and Shimla between 25-02-2013 to 06-03-2013. They visited various Small and Medium enterprises apart for industries of repute in NCR area.

      The students were motivated and encouraged to be part of this visit, they enjoyed and learned many lessons practically during this trip. They visited various places of interest in New Delhi, Agra and Shimla apart from industrial visits. Prof Ananthapadmanabhan, Prof. Raghu and Prof. Gnanendra accompanied the students in the trip.

INDUSTRIAL TRIP TO NEW DELHI, AGRA & JAIPUR BY MBA II SEMESTER STUDENTS

     MBA II Semester students went on a Industrial visit trip to New Delhi, Agra & Jaipur between 28-2-2013 to 09-03-2013. They visited Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Limited and cluster of SME's which are into manufacturing of various products in a small scale.

                 Apart from visit to different industries they a good sightseeing in New Delhi like Aksharadham Temple, Gateway of India, Red fort, Raj Ghat, Tajmahal in Agra and Jaipur palace in Jaipur. It was trip with lot of learning experience for the students, many of the students on trip to North part of India for the first time were enthusiastic and enjoyed a lot. Prof.Gopalakrishna, Prof Sheshu, Prof Sunil M Kulkarni and Prof John pradeep kumar accompanied the students.

Budget presentation by Dr.Thimmaiah on 05-03-2013

Dr.Thimmaiah, Former member, Planning commission, Govt of India, and adviser, Govt of Karnataka, Ex president IEA (Indian Economic Association), former director ISEC, Bangalore, presented the budget 2013 analysis to the MBA students on March 05, 2013 at Seminar Hall. In a nutshell he said it is a common man friendly budget with reduction in fiscal deficit, Industries will have scope for expansion with less discomfort as moderate changes were seen in the indirect taxes. Moderate benefit was given for the senior citizens in Income tax slab. Overall the budget is pro poor and growth oriented.

Dr.Ananthapadmanabhan was instrumental in bringing budget analysis to the door step of students and making them to be responsible citizen of the country.

ED Cell Inaugaration on 19-04-2013

The much awaited ED cell was inaugurated on 19-04-2013 at 10.00 AM. The programme stated with a prayer and Lamp lighting. Prof.Gopalakrishna, HOD of MBA briefed in a nutshell the importance of ED cell,  Dr.B.V. Ravishankar, Principal addressed the gathering and pressed the importance of Entrepreneurship and promised his support to the incubation center. Dr.Raja Naik, President, DCCII was the chief guest to the programme and he declared the opening of ED cell, he encouraged the students to be practical and do things differently and get the success as entrepreneurs. Dr.Parameshwar P Iyer, Professor IISc encouraged the students to be innovative, open to challenges, take calculated risk and have concern for others. Prof Ramesh from EDI motivated the students through his interactive session on entrepreneurship for 2 hours. The programme was concluded with a note and demonstration from young techno entrepreneur Mr.Ganesh. Prof Seetharm of Placement department along with Dr.Ananthapadmanabhan was instrumental and key mind in organizing and making this event a great success.

Guest Lecture by Dr.Thandava Murthy on 17/04/2013

Dr.Thandava Murthy, Director of Khosys college of Management addressed or MBA II Semester students on 17/04/2013. Dr.Murthy encouraged and motivated the students to think positive and come out of the nut shell.
