VISIT TO TOYOTA KIRLOSKER MOTORS

Toyota Kirlosker Motors a vibrant company in India, has started its operations here in Bidadi in the year 1997 in sprawling area of 432 acres, it employees around 8,000 people. Toyota Kirloskar motors is a leader in the automotive sector, their major challenge is to innovate continuously, keeping in mind the changing needs of customers, stakeholders and society at large. In order to counter these challenges, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) follows the best practices as guided by the Toyota Way.

Toyota is operational in 26 countries with 51 manufacturing units, they follow Toyota way in all their plants, which consist of Challenge, kizen, Genchi Genbutsu (go and study), perspect, and team work. The cars are manufactured in 4 stages here, press, weld, paint shop and assembly shop. The company follows all the safety standards and maintains zero accidents, they do lot of CSR activities like awareness on safety, rain water harvesting, tree plantation, technical training, greenathon etc.

Management Department of Cambridge Institute of Technology, has organized a visit to Toyota Kirloskar motors for their MBA II Semester students on May 03, 2012, they reached the plant at around 2.00 PM, and were received by Mr.Lakshmi Narasimhan, and were taken to Toyota Hall, where a corporate video clip was screened followed by visit to the manufacturing plant, with all the safety precautions. The students were delighted after their visit to the plant; they were exposed to the state of the art technology and management. The visit was concluded at 5.00 P.M, with a farewell. Faculties of management Mr. Muralidhar Reddy, and Mr. Sunil M Kulkarni accompanied the students.

INFOSYS VISIT BY MBA STUDENTS



On 26th May, 2012, MBA II and  IV Semester Students of Cambridge Institute of Technology were taken to pay Visit to Infosys Technologies Ltd, Bangalore on an invitation from Infosys.The visit was a part of the SPARK event conducted by the Infosys for the benefit of Student community. The program was between 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM. Four faculties accompanied the students.
The students were taken inside the campus and were made to assemble in a beautiful Air-conditioned hi-tech auditorium. Students were shown two short documentaries on the history, culture, vision, mission, success story, value and the customer’s feedback on Infosys. Here students got an insight in to high standards set by Infosys. Mr. Narayana Murthy’s clippings were also presented. Then the Tea was offered to students with cookies. After the Tea break, the students were addressed by, Mr.Srijit, Training Manager of Infosys.
Then our students were taken to their canteen which they call it as a food court, which is a pleasure to watch. A nice buffet lunch was offered to the students and faculty.The most important activity was the post lunch tour of Infosys campus. A software engineer, who moderated the visit by name Mr. Aman, took us around the campus which is marvelous and a symbol of success and achievement.
The Infosys campus visit permission was taken by Mr. Y.Muralidhar Reddy from Management Department, who had arranged, organized and accompanied the students and Mr.Vijayanarayanan, Mr.Raghu and Mr.Sunil M Kulkarni for the Infosys campus visit under the guidance and support from the HOD Prof Gopalakrishna.
The response from the students is awesome and they are all overjoyed with the experience they had. They not only visited the company, they also got an insight in to a corporate world through one of the most successful and value driven companies in the world.
